We are currently looking for a Residential Support Worker/ LSA, in Herefordshire for students in KS2 to KS5. You will be working to assist students with social emotional mental health needs; as such the role will require a more comprehensive level of emotional assistance. This fulfilling role provides the opportunity to support independence and growth for the students, within a positive school environment.

The Residential home assists anywhere between 2 to 10 children and is looking to expand. There is a well experienced team of pre-existing staff at the home that is happy to help new staff learn and adjust to their new role. The residential home is part of a school, working with the children to maintain a normal weekly routine is key.

Other aspects of the role may include cooking, cleaning, safeguarding and assisting the children. This is a caring, welcoming environment, looking for a new empathetic member of their team.

For this role we require that you have:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education/ Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • An awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
  • At least 6 months experience working with SEND students.
  • First Aid qualified and Personal Care experienced.

The residential establishment has a working network that is inclusive and supports new staff members. Other beneficial training would include MAPA/ restraint training but is not essential.
