Salary: Band 8A (£49,975 - £53,948)
This is a key leadership post with general management responsibility for a range of health and social work professions. You will have responsibility for line management of a number of Team Leads within West Dunbartonshire Learning Disability Services and will provide strategic leadership and operational management for health and social care services for people who access learning disability services. You will be accountable for the performance, resources and activity within their area of responsibility. In addition, the post holder is responsible for providing managerial input to the HSCP/Locality strategic structure and to actively contribute to the overall planning and management of mental health services in West Dunbartonshire. Your responsibilities will include driving forward and maintaining good practice around Adult Support and Protection and Self-Directed Support, ensuring governance for social work and health staff. It is essential you have Health or Social Work diploma/degree level qualification, supplemented by additional training, management qualifications, or equivalent management and leadership experience, Experience of human and financial resource management and service redesign, development and evaluation. This is an integrated position as part of the West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant, if an employee of the Partnership, will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) or NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC), depending on current employer. The hours for the post are 37.5 under NHSGGC or 35 under WDC. This is a Band 8A post with NHSGGC and a Grade 10 post with WDC.
