Social Worker - Divisional Based Intervention Team (D-Bit)

Salary from 30,000 to 35,000 + 4% Flat Rate Allowance (for Flexible Working) on appointment with progression to 40,750 per annum
Permanent, full time contract 37 hours per week
Divisional Based Intervention Teams (D-BIT) have been operational in Children's Social Care since early 2012 and have a proven track record of improving outcomes for young people and their families and in addressing areas where there are difficulties in the relationships that exist between family members so that young people can continue to live safely within their homes and family networks.

D-BIT work on a voluntary basis with young people aged 8 -17 who are on the edge of care or custody. The teams work with the whole family utilising strengths based and solution focused methodology to support them in developing and implementing sustainable, long term, solutions to their problems. Intervention is intensive and time limited and as a consequence caseloads are comparatively small and offer the opportunity for direct and frequent engagement at the heart of families.

This role with the D-BIT Service will require staff to work a basic week (Mon - Fri) but also to be able to work flexibly, which will include some evenings and occasional weekend activity. We pay a 4% flat rate enhancement in acknowledgement of this requirement.

Development and Training
To assist with this you will experience excellent access to high quality supervision and training opportunities. These will be a key element of your on-going professional development and inform and enhance your career pathway progression within the Children's Social Care workforce.

What you'll need to join our Social Work team
To play a key part in transforming the lives of children and families, you'll be a DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent graduate. This will be backed up by post-qualification experience as a children's social worker. Open to change and ready to innovate, you will be keen to join an environment where you can stretch yourself professionally, make an impact individually and deliver positive outcomes collaboratively.
