Priory Hospital Enfield is set within the grounds of an old Chapel. It is a two minute walk from Edmonton Green train station (overground) and is 0.8 miles from the A10. Walking through the relaxed grounds does not give the impression that it is set in Central London and this promotes the safe and therapeutic environment which Priory Hospital Enfield has developed and established to ensure patients receive the best care.
The hospital encourages a Multi-Disciplinary approach to delivering care, and this allows patients to receive a comprehensive care pathway during their admission to the hospital. The therapies provided for Service Users can be tailored to meet their specific needs and there are opportunities for all staff to receive extra training in the therapies being delivered.
The hospital provides three service lines across four wards:
Acute mental illness (12 bedded mixed sex ward)
2 Medium Secure male wards (1 sixteen bedded acute and 1 fifteen bedded recovery)
1 Low Secure male ward
The hospital has a flexible approach to service delivery, and this is seen through the development of a new acute ward which is due to be open in Spring 2020. This is an opportunity to join an evolving service which puts patient care as our main priority!
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in North London to be part of a new team providing treatment and support in an acute setting. Priory Hospital Enfield is opening up a twelve bedded, mixed sex ward for acutely unwell patients. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Nurses to join our dynamic team and deliver the best standards of care. Successful candidates will have a passion for delivering excellent care and will want to be part of a team who are driven towards improving the lives of Service Users.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in working with people who are in a crisis with their mental health. As part of your role within the team, you will be required to screen referrals, complete the admission process and work closely with patients to develop patient centred care plans with a focus on working towards their discharge. You will have an opportunity to develop your risk assessment skills and work with families and carers who will be supporting our Services Users after discharge. You will need to have a sound understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act and understand safeguarding processes within a ward environment.
